Using ClickBank to Choose a Niche- BC Lesson #1
Choosing A Niche:
What Niche market should I choose? This is the question that all marketers should give a lot of time and thought too. Without giving the proper due diligence with regard to the niche that you want to promote. You destined for derailment right from the start. You might has well just shot yourself in foot. I would recommend you start from the place that was recommended to me. First on the list is ClickBank. This is easiest place for you to get started as an Affiliate marketer. There are other resources such as Commission Junction and LinkShare, but they are harder to get initiated if you are just starting out. ClickBank is free to join and you can get registered here.
Now that is taken here of, there are some things that we need to think about. As you can see within ClickBank, there are several categories to choose. STOP!!! You will notice an abundant amount of products that fall under the make money online niche. If I were you and just getting started I would select something else. The make money niche is a very competitive niche, and if you are just starting out you do not want fight that battle just yet. What I suggest you do is to make list of ten topics that you may have a considerable amount of knowledge in, and interests. Then when you are done with that creating that list you need to go through the products of each category to see if you can match up a qualifying product with your knowledge and interest.
Notice that I mentioned qualifying product! That is because there are some things you want look for in a product that your going to promote. The first qualifier is commissions. ClickBank product commission vary from 40% - 75% of the product price. The commission factor should be determined by the dollar a figure. That dollar figure should equate to at least $25-$30. You really don’t want to spend time promoting a product that going to pay less than that per sale. It’s got to be worth your while. Now that we are satisfied with the payout, there some other qualifiers we must look at.
• Popularity: This is the products position according to ClickBank sorted by it’s popularity.
• $Sale: This number is expected revenue that ClickBank estimates you can expect to earn per sale. This number also takes into consideration other factors such as ClickBank fees, refunds, and charge backs.
• Gravity: This number is represents the popularity of the product with other affiliates. The higher the gravity typically the greater number of affiliates promoting the product. Do not over analyze these stats. Just factor them into your decision making equation.
