Hi, It’s IM Newbie Here!

Disclaimer: This post is one of others to come, created to shed light on the compulsive decisions that one may make during there quest for an online business. It is for illustration purposes only. Resemblances to yourself or others in this story are merely coincidental.

Ok! So now I decided to go a step further by auctioning two products simultaneously, similar to my previous successful transaction. The deals was sealed, signed, and delivered along with some more positive feedback and I felt like I was on my way. I remember the products were Nokia 8800 Sirocco cell phones which were getting a lot of demand and attention. Some attention started coming my way which was not wanted. These were attempts of fraudulent transactions that were easily identified but were hard to block the interference they caused with my auctions. I took with a grain a salt and moved on. I would get so flustered because every fraud attempt was waste of an auction and an lost opportunity to make $35-50 per sale. I wanted to capitalize on every opportunity that presented itself. But I rolled with the punches and kept plugging at it.

Now I started building some momentum. I was averaging 8-10 auctions per week and I need to find more product and my goal was to double my auctions to 16-20 per week in the next 45-60 days. But I needed to conduct more product research. Just has I ventured to seek to add more product I got my first complaint regarding a products that was received. I said to myself “no big deal”. I have great service skills and I will work with the customer to get their issue resolved and generate a positive feed back anyway. I found out quickly that the vendor at Dhgate was not as geared to customer service as I was. I had just done about $25k in sales, and felt he should handled my concerns more delicately, considering the amount of business I had generated.

Now, the unthinkable happened. I got to more complaints about the product and I was still trying to resolve the first complaint. I knew I had my hands full with this. I started getting concerned now because I had done a number of sales I had some shipments that were already en route, and now I’m getting hit with unsatisfactory merchandise complaints which were out of my control. The complaints I was receiving was regarding the products authenticity and I knew I was going to have to stop sales immediately. I took some hits with being able to secure partial refunds and deciding to provide my customers with full refunds to save my feedback score. However I still caught some negative feedback in the interim, and that ended my Ebay business venture.
