Survive” Making Money Online” The IM Life Preserver Archives Part V

Hi, It’s IM Newbie Here!

Disclaimer: This post is one of others to come, created to shed light on the compulsive decisions that one may make during there quest for an online business. It is for illustration purposes only. Resemblances to yourself or others in this story are merely coincidental.

So in my last post we left off at the point where I had found a niche product source based out of Asia. DHgate.com had a multitude of sellers of various products. The site reminded me a lot of Ebay. Nonetheless I had found product a resource I could make money with online. The price was right and I launched a test auction.

I monitored the the auction closely. At the end of the auction I got my min bid price. Payment was delivered to my PayPal account. I ordered the product, issued payment from the funds I collected, and gave them the details of my customers information to have the won auction product drop shipped to my customer. The package tracking number was provided so I could track the shipment until it was delivered. Then I waited for some feedback from my Ebay customer. This was nerve racking but at the same time it was exciting. I had just closed a deal that would allow me to make money online for the first time, and now I was waiting to see if the product was any good. I remember about a week went by before that first positive feedback was received. I remember how delighted I felt. Positive feedback on Ebay dictates your reputation and directly impacts the success you will have as an Ebay seller. Positive feedback was a must!

Your customers feed back is a key ingredient that fuels service. Your feedback score is one of the first things that is looked on your Ebay listing which provides an indicator to other Ebayers whether that should take the risk to initiate a transaction with an Ebay seller. Basically if your service sucks no one is going to want to give you their business. I was willing to take loss on a transaction as long as I was able to control the reason behind the circumstance. The feedback score to me was much more valuable in the long run, because I would always be able to sell to others. As you will see, regardless how hard I tried to maintain control over the circumstances of my customer issues, it still slipped beyond my control.
