Survive” Making Money Online” The IM Life Preserver Archives Part IV

Hi, It’s IM Newbie Here!

Disclaimer: This post is one of others to come, created to shed light on the compulsive decisions that one may make during there quest for an online business. It is for illustration purposes only. Resemblances to yourself or others in this story are merely coincidental.

Ok. So now I have compulsively spent $600 plus an additional $14k to get my online business up and running. I have joint partnered with my significant, and I still do not have a business plan, but none the less I’m about to try and launch a business. Lets see what happens. So I say to myself I have my company structure formed and all it’s components have been identified have been established. Now I need a product to sell. My partner has started working with the mentor and laying the structural foundation for the website. So I say to myself let me start familiarizing myself with Ebay and start testing some product with auctions. Hence my quest for a drop shipper started. I learned very quickly that there was going to be some added expense during this quest, because the sources I was surfing on the internet were mostly all additional services with a cost. So without a budget in place I started spending $50 here, $75.00 there, upto $250 for the so called number #1 drop shipping and wholesale resource on the internet. I found out after weeks of research which then turned into months, that this wasn’t going to be easy at all. I could not find any product I could market on Ebay and actually turn a profit. Unless of course if I was going to buy bulk and store it somewhere, which was not part of plan eventhough I did not have one written down.

So three months passed, and one of the resources I had pointed me in the direction of getting product in China. When I checked it out, the potential started to look promising. I found drop shipping of products I could sell, that actually had demand and was priced right. So I proceeded . I found electronics to be Hot items on Ebay, and now it seemed like I had found a niche and a source were I could purchase these products after the Ebay auction sale. Then collect the funds and have the product sent directly to my customers. Now the only question was quality of the product and service that woud be provided. Well if I was not wiling to try I wasn’t going to find out.

Months of product research lead me to an Asian based Ebay type website named DHGate.com. Dhgate portrays themselves to be a wholesale powerhouse. I found their pricing structure to be just what I needed in order to compete on Ebay. I launched auctions on high end electronic devices and finally started making money online. But be sure to stay tuned! My operation will prove to be short lived and eventually come to screaching hault. You will surely want read what happened next.
